Cate Greenbush knows that a strip club isn't the way to meet men, but when your job is talking to dead people, boyfriends are hard to come by. She also knows that the sexy headliner of tonight's show is nothing more than a fantasy, and a dangerous one at that. During the performance she sees an image of a dead woman and a shadowy figure she fears is her killer, the dancer.

Vampire Garran Lux has no such lack of sexuality, and his public persona flaunts it to the world. During the week he's an instructor at a dance studio, and on Fridays he headlines as an exotic dancer. But it's a double life he leads, for his private life is one of secrecy and loneliness as one of the undead. Still, he's been very successful at maintaining the balance in his existence.

Until now.

For some reason, the beast that rules his vampiric side is becoming stronger and harder to control. Without the control of his "human" side, he fears he'll start killing again, and being reckless is no way to survive immortality.

Cate is an urban shaman who specializes in spiritual healing and soul retrievals. She's shocked to find that her seven o'clock appointment is her fantasy lover from the strip club. But the young man insists he needs her help to repair his life, though he doesn't explain the past tragedies that have led to the splintering of his soul. She agrees to help him, in spite of her fear that he may be a killer.

The quest for Garran's lost soul becomes an exploration of human desire and inhuman lust, and in the end the search is for love, if only Cate and Garran can survive the perilous journey to the Land of the Dead.

Please note that this book contains graphic depictions of sexual activity and is intended for adult readers only.

Reviews for DANCE WITH ME, MY LOVELY:

4 1/2 stars! "Roycraft turns up the heat in this steamy vampire romance. Her heroine is appealing, and the multilayered hero is sex personified. Their chemistry ignites fireworks as their trust is tested to the limits in this exciting story of two lost souls. The well-written prose and vivid descriptions bring scenes alive, and the escalating suspense will have readers devouring this story in one sitting." ~Gail Pruszkowski for Romantic Times BOOKreviews

"Dance With Me, My Lovely captured my attention from page one. It gripped me and took me for a wild ride. The scenes were descriptive and tantalizing the hero strong and powerful. The heroine was quirky and fun and had me rooting for her the whole time. Both the hero Garren Lux and the heroine Cate were engaging and well flushed out and I loved how Cate was a shaman. I would recommend Dance With Me, My Lovely to any paranormal fan and I just know they will put it on their favorite's list."~Tammie, Night Owl Romance

"Jaye Roycraft. The name invokes dark promise for those who dream in paranormal romance. Let me tell you right here and now, this book caught me totally off guard. The tale is sweeping in its complexity, the characters rich, and the movement dark and sensual, but it brought to the fore a feeling of humanity not usually found in many of the “vampire books” of the genre. This hero is a tortured soul, a man who seeks help form the mortal world, a man scorned by love, and one who had subsisted on the lust of others. He is a man, yes a man who has loved and lost, and he sees himself not as the beast, and not as a monster, but as a man, and that is different. It gives a whole new meaning to romance in that he still sees him self as a man, maybe not human, but as a person with two sides, the beast that hungers, and the man who is lonely. Struggling with this internal dichotomy is the magic of Garran’s character, and finding the one person who can unite the two is where Cate comes in to his life.

The Danseur and the Shaman…they balance. Dance With Me, My Lovely is set in the background of the dance, where Jaye Roycraft spins a story of a growing internal tension, love lost, insecurity, and new hope. The usual vampire myths are shattered, bringing the reader a new insight into the way Ms Roycraft chooses her characters and their traits. Garran is unique, a dancer whose skill and innate talent make him desired by women when he performs as an exotic dancer, and a beloved and yet disciplined instructor when it come to his ballroom classes. Unlike some, he is not ego driven, but yearns for the one thing denied him so far in his life, and that is love. He discovers the possibilities with Cate, and he is not wiling to let her go, but is smart enough to know she must come to him. With Cate’s insecurities, the man must tempt her enough to over come them, and he does this simply by needing her, and unlike many other men, he lets her know of his need. In Dance With Me, My Lovely, the balance is held, expanded, and joined in a way that brings the reader not only satisfaction, but also a sigh of relief. I found myself rooting for Cate and Garran through the flashbacks, and their individual trials while they worked their way toward each other. This one is available August 30th, 2007 from ImaJinn books, and I really do find myself in a position to highly recommend Dance With Me, My Lovely to those who want a deeply moving romance of the heart."~Rose, Romance at Heart

"I have never read anything with a Shaman in it and reading the descriptive passages of how a Shaman’s journey actually works was very intriguing, especially when a vampire is involved. And then to add the intense sex scene at the end of that first journey made it all the more exciting."~Whipped Cream

"Tall, dark, sexy and possessing the ability to move with the liquid grace of a dancer, Garran fits perfectly into the image of the vampire fantasies. His loneliness draws you to him and it is no wonder that Cate finds herself fantasizing over him. His very essence screams sex. I found myself anxiously waiting for when Garran and Cate would give into the passion bubbling just below the surface. Thankfully it does not take long and the two of them generate a heat wave that is off the scales...This is a creative and fast paced story in which two great characters long for something missing in their lives. Hot, sexy and exciting, DANCE WITH ME, MY LOVELY by Jaye Roycraft is a passionate and emotionally filled romance that is sure to leave readers with a few fantasies of their own."~Anita, Romance Junkies

"Hot, hot, hot!!!...I was impressed with this novel. The idea of a vampire’s spirit body is pure genius – Ms. Roycraft’s signature mark on her work. The forays into the history of both characters is well detailed, building a tantalizing story that draws the reader in. Cate’s “dancing lessons” are inventive, erotic, and make me wish I could get my man to take me dancing! Well done! I can’t wait to see more from Ms. Roycraft!"~Cimorene, Enchanting Reviews

"Jaye Roycraft weaves a spellbinding erotic love story between destined lovers. Dance With Me, My Lovely was a fast-paced novel filled with delicious sex scenes and sincere tender moment that could make a heart weep. Highly addictive and expertly written, I would highly recommend Ms. Roycrafts writings to any booklover in search of a little heat. 5 Hearts"~Crystal Adkins, Book Reviews by Crystal

"Jaye Roycraft is one of the best paranormal romance authors writing today. She slowly builds up the relationship and that of each other's powers to make the reader feel as if they are part of that unseen world. This is a sizzling fantastic vampire romance but the lovemaking is necessary to the storyline. Cate is Garran’s equal in power which is one of the reasons this novella is bloody delicious."~Harriet Klausner, Midwest Book Review

War is hell, even when you're already dead...

What time is it? Half Past Hell, midway between life and the grave, peace and war.

Twenty years have passed since the vampire-mortal war nicknamed Hell ended, but underneath the gloss of political correctness and affirmative action, old hatreds die hard, especially in Chi-No, Wisconsin. It is here that many of Chicago's young vampires, burned out during the war, have resettled. The sucklings-'squids' to most humans-live in Chi-No's old inner-city neighborhoods, trying to abide by the covenants of their new world. But sucklings are mysteriously dying the true death, and Chi-No Police detectives Kilpatrick and Duvall have been assigned to the case.

Human John Kilpatrick is not happy at being transferred from day shift to the "graveyard shift," and he resents being partnered with a squid. Everyone should have their place-women should be at home, and the dead should be…dead. Vampire Wulf Duvall isn't thrilled to be working with an ignorant meatball like Kilpatrick, but he's excited to be doing something more important than checking taverns for illegal blood whores.

Battling each other is hard enough, but the investigation goes from bad to worse when a mortal with the vampire-killing bullets called "Claws" tries to kill Duvall. Duvall suspects the Brothers of the Sun, the zealot vampire hunters who started Hell years ago, and while it seems obvious to him that war is brewing again, the department seems interested only in covering up the truth to prevent panic in the city. To make matters worse, the vampire doyens of both Chi-No and Chicago seem too wrapped up in their own pleasures to care about sucklings dying in Little Transylvania.

Duvall and Kilpatrick race against time to discover the true power behind the conspiracy to destroy the peace that no one seems to want.

It's Half Past Hell, time to kill or die.

Reviews for HALF PAST HELL:

"I loved this book. It was meaty, full of juicy, personal details about the characters that made them seem very real. Ms. Roycraft puts the undead in a very human light. She tackles racism and greed head on, while leaving the reader in complete suspense, living out every word with her characters! Most excellent! I'm desperately awaiting the sequel, Hell's Warrior."~Cimorene, Enchanting Reviews

"HALF PAST HELL is a refreshing original, exciting, action-packed vampire police procedural that is bloody terrific. Jaye Roycraft has written an innovative fangtastic vampire novel in which vampires are second class citizens and humans are the ones in power. The relationship between the two partners is delightful to watch as it turns from mistrust, with acerbic barbs thrown at each other, to a real partnership. Combining elements from horror, urban fantasy and mystery, HALF PAST HELL is special heavenly read." ~ Harriet Klausner, Midwest Book Review

"Tightly woven police action blends smoothly with the paranormal elements of this story. Particularly interesting is the subtle allegorical angle as issues that are a part of reality are re-imagined and played out in an otherworldly manner. Half Past Hell is like Forever Knight, but without the angst that bogged that show down too often. Ms. Roycraft has another winning tale here."~Amanda Killgore, Huntress Reviews

"Magnificent!!! A perfect "10". This book features in-depth characters that you will absorb into your bloodstream!! With Half Past Hell, you will never want this wonderful book to end...Very highly recommended." ~ Suzie Housley, MyShelf.com

"Half Past Hell is an extraordinary mystery filled with bits of sex, love, deceit, and conspiracy. Ms. Roycraft captures the reader’s attention from the very start. There was always some kind of action going on, it is impossible to lose interest in this compelling story. 5 Hearts"-Crystal Adkins, Book Reviews by Crystal

HELL'S WARRIOR - Coming 2009 from ImaJinn Books

Sex has never been so deadly for one of the undead...

It's been twenty years since the vampire-mortal war known to the undead as "Hell" ended, but peace has been hard for Chicago's doyen, vampire Che Kincade. Beauty and power ensure that blood, sex and money come easily, but compromises and concessions come hard for a half-breed undead warrior whose roots run centuries-deep in violence. Still, he's managed at last to make peace bearable. A secret affair with his mortal counterpart, Chicago Mayor Deborah Dayton, ensures that their weekly meetings at city hall to discuss the vampire problems in the city are accompanied by wonderfully delicious clandestine sex. Tonight, just hours after their usual tryst, Cade's house-of-cards peace tumbles when news comes that a high-profile murder has taken place in the city.

Cade is concerned how the assassination and the political fallout will affect the city's undead, but his arrogance doesn't allow worry for himself. Soon, though, his very private and ordered world unravels when he's wanted first for rape, then murder. Cade goes on the run with no help but that given by Red, a blood whore whose bed he's in when the call comes that Chicago PD has a warrant for his arrest.

The frame puts a whole new light on the assassination, and Cade tries to make sense of it as he dodges the police, mob assassins, and the vampire hunters known as Brothers of the Sun. Was the murder politically motivated--a way to return the city to the old days of persecution and hatred, or was it a personal attack on him? There have always been those who would dispose Cade as doyen and force him out of power. Cade suspects that even Thor, his tyro and master-in-training, is among those who would see him destroyed.

When the people Cade cares about keep dying, he sheds his peace chief mien to return to that which he knows best--killing...
